Pool pump's basket cover vibrating loose?
I have a Pentair Whisperflo pump, and recently the clamp that goes over the basket has been vibrating loose. The pool store told me that the clear cover and new o-ring would solve this, but I was suspicious as I don't see how the lid would relate to the vibration.
Any advice?
It is a cartridge-based filter at about 19psi right now, if that could be part of the issue.
is it a screw that is backing out? you could use a spring washer to keep it in place. usually the pump basket is on the suction side so the pressure should not be an issue. is it one of those covers that twists on? could you drill a hole through the outside edge an put a lock pin through it without breaking the seal?
