Spa Replacement
It doesn't really matter which fixture or appliance you are talking about in your house, at some time or another it will need to be replaced. In the bathroom, lots of people are very particular about the quality of the fixtures. So when it comes to a shower replacement, homeowners are very particular about the type of fixture they utilize. No one wants to have subpar quality in the place they bathe and in many cases, relax. For this type of home improvement project, you may have to hire both a plumber and builder. However, there are some contractors out there that are licensed to do both types of work.
Shower Replacement
One of the first things you likely want to know about a shower replacement is how long it's going to take before you can use your bathroom again. That is definitely an understandable question. If everything goes smoothly and your hired professionals are competent, you can expect the total process to take about three days. The first two days are used for removing the old shower unit, rerunning the plumbing pipes, and getting ready to install the new shower. It's also important to understand that the plumber and builder (if hired separately) are going to have to take turns when completing the project.
The second day will consist of the plumber finishing up his or her work and letting the builder complete the wood and drywall section of sealing the new fixture in place. It's essential to let the adhesives used in placing the new shower set for 24 hours, which is where the third day comes in. After the waiting period, you should be able to use your shower without any problems. Unless you choose to hire someone to take care of painting and finishing the area, you do still have that challenge ahead of you.
It might take a few days, but the satisfaction of enjoying a new shower is worth the minor inconvenience.
Need a spa cover solution?
My spa is entirely enclosed by a gazebo and it's nearly impossible to pull the heavy hard cover on and off. There's no room to install the lifts on the sides.
